January, 2011

Well it's the new year and our 2nd annual New Years Eve party was a great success. Our cottages were rented and everyone had a wonderful time playing darts, pool and dancing to music. Thanks to Rob for setting up the stereo and to everyone else who brought food for the buffet.

Mark the weekend of Febuary 3rd on your calender! Jeff Ward from Lot #78 is organizing an ice fishing tournament for his friends and said everyone is welcome to join. Rules and any other information will come the day of the tournament.

We're up here enjoying what snow we have. Yes, it's true, we are still waiting for the big stuff, but word is we're getting lots of snow soon. Please be patient and stay off the ice, we're having a record number off sleds going through this year. So wait a couple more weeks.

We had a fantastic summer filled with sun and fun! We had many events like kid's playday and the Joe Danylshen Horeshoe tournament. That's just the start, you can look for more horeshoe tournaments, fishing derby's, and casino night this year. We have a brand new, bigger and better addition to our water park, thanks to your donations to the Kid's Fund.

The fall and winter season has had a great start. Many hunters came and were thankful that we had hot showers and food available. We sure are looking forward to seeing them again next year. We already have 8 inches of snow and the lake is starting to freeze over. I can almost hear the sound of snowmobiles humming.

With a little planning and not much effort, winter in a trailer can be very comfortable and WARM!
